We are sad to share the news of the unexpected passing of our sister, Norma Hoffman, on March 31, 2024, from heart issues. She was born in Lewiston, Idaho on January 31st, 1959 to Maurice R. and Marguerite H. Hoffman. She was the ninth of ten children.
After graduation from Lewiston High School in 1977, Norma joined the army for 3 years, serving most of her time in military intelligence in San Francisco. She returned to Lewiston where she earned her associates degree as an electronics technician. During her years back in Lewiston, she cared for our mother and father through their cancer struggles and death. She moved to Spokane in 1993, where she worked until her passing. She worked for Telect and Logan Industries, but spent the last 10 years working for Advanced Input Systems in Coeur d' Alene. Norma's interests were pretty small things and containers, drawing, fantasy, puzzles and games, gardening, pets, camping, and travel.
She is survived by her siblings Sheral Lantz (Dan), Gene Hoffman, Dolores Vincent (Walt), Gordon Hoffman (Jenny), and Anita Martinez (Ron). She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Maurice A., Dennis, Richard, and Allen. Her life partner, John Kersey, passed away in December 2021, but they enjoyed 15 years of love and adventure.
A memorial service will be held at Q'emiln Park in Post Falls Idaho at the Gazebo on Saturday, May 18th. A light lunch will be served.
