July 14, 1983 - May 31, 2024
Mark Allen Davidow was called home to be with our Heavenly Father and beloved brothers Eric and Nick on May 31, 2024.
Mark was born in Havre, MT on July 14, 1983, the youngest of 4 brothers. He had an adventurous spirit, growing up in Montana and experiencing many wonderful family get-togethers at our beloved Laughing Water Ranch in Fortine, MT where his grandparents' lived, and at Trego, MT where his other grandparents' lived! These experiences would soon shape his life, as he was drawn to the outdoors, nature and the mountains. He loved to fish and camp and target practice but especially enjoyed family time at the many poker games with his uncles and family at the Ranch!
Mark graduated from U-High School in Spokane Valley, WA in 2001. After high school he attended community college briefly then went to work for Anderson Windows, Milgard Windows in manufacturing. He enjoyed working with tools and became certified on heavy machinery so the Construction field became his niche, specializing in concrete and framing but was really a jack of all trades. He was our Go-To whenever we needed a big project done. He and Eric called themselves the “Red Neck Nailers” in Prescott, WI in 2006 when they finished our 2100 square feet basement in our newly built home. It was impressive and beautiful. Then in 2019 he excavated and built a 50 foot retaining wall 4 feet high at his parent’s newly built home in Spokane Valley.
Mark had the biggest heart and wore his heart on his sleeve. He loved his family first and foremost and loved his friends. He would do anything for those in need.
Mark was an avid sports fan and his 2 favorite teams were The Chicago Bears and Blackhawks. He played youth baseball, soccer, and youth hockey (in Parker CO) where he excelled with his stick- handling and skating abilities. He was a “Natural”!
Two years ago, Mark finally met his true soul-mate – Katie and they married soon after and they were inseparable!
Soon after, Mark ultimately would face many serious health and medical issues, but he never let those obstacles detour him. He persevered and stayed positive, found sobriety and was just days short of one year when he passed. He was incredibly proud of that accomplishment and worked every day to continue his awesome new life. During that time he found his new calling which was to repurpose wood pallets into hand painted beautiful artistic signs with inspirational messages that made him feel good. He called his business “2nd Chance Signs” (signifying his 2nd chance at life after his near-fatal car accident last December) and giving the wood pallets another purpose. He eventually would go on to create them for friends, family and clients who would order custom signs.
Mark was preceded in death by his beloved brothers Eric and Nick, niece Jadyn (Eric’s daughter) and grandparents Ted and Shirley Mikita and Bob and Eileen Noland and Frank Davidow Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife Katie, daughter Fiona Grace, parents Frank and Debbie Davidow, brother Steve and Annette, nieces Sylvia, Mary and Claire and nephew Paul, beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends- many of whom he considered brothers.
Special thanks to his dear friend Chase Medders who had a profound impact on Mark’s life and him finding Jesus✝️. Chase was always there for Mark in his time of need. And a special thank you to Pastor Dave for always believing in Mark and being there for our family the last 25 years through everything we’ve endured. We love you.
