Judy was born in Spokane, WA on September 17, 1939. She passed away September 30, 2011 at Sacred Heart Comfort Center after several years of suffering with dementia. Judy graduated with honors from Rogers High School in 1957. She married Ted Ward on May 25, 1958 and together they had three children, Rebecca Card (Don) of Marysville, WA, and Robert and James. She was preceded in death by her two sons Robert and James. Judy has six grandchildren, Luke (Becky), James, Elizabeth, Matthew, Jamie and Sarah; two great grandsons Jordan and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also had a very special friend and caregiver Karri Lerch. She took great joy in working in her garden and with her flowers. She loved being a wife and mother. She loved to go antiquing and had a vast doll collection. She loved antique lamps and furniture. She had a very kind and giving spirit always looking for ways to ease another person’s suffering. For many years Judy supported several orphaned children under Compassion International. She had the biggest smile and loved to laugh. She enjoyed bowling and travel always up for a new adventure. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA with Rev. Gordon Rakow officiating.
