He grew up in Cheyenne, WY, and spent many days on his family’s homestead in Centennial, WY. After serving in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany, he traveled widely before settling in the Pacific Northwest.
There he met his wife, Linda, and they started their family together. They traded their time between Spokane, WA and Sun Valley, ID while he worked as a lumberman where his office was the mountains that he loved so much. He retired to Spokane, WA, and he and his wife were raising two of their grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and proved himself as a skilled craftsman. He was quick to reveal his sarcastic wit, give a helping hand, and show anyone how to properly sharpen a knife.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sibling, Kenneth, and his oldest son, Joe. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda; his siblings, Mike (Kathy), Jeff, and Kathleen (Bart); his children, Renni (Don), Josh (Gina), Heather, Alicia (Ryan), and daughter-in-law, Crysta; his grandchildren, Shontaeia, Deshon, Victoria, Justin, Tarra, Megann, Jaedan, Kylie, Mikayla, Bryson, and Mia; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family.
