Lynn, Helen L. – age 92, passed away on November 30, 2010. She was born on September 6, 1918 at Joseph, Oregon to Andrew and Florence Dolberg. She graduated as Valedictorian of Cowiche High School. During WWII she worked as an electrician in the shipyards at Tacoma, WA to do her part for the war effort. Helen met Ernie Lynn while working in the ship yards and married him in 1943. They spent 20 years together before he preceded her in death in 1963. She moved to Post Falls, ID in the late 1940’s. Helen attended Spokane Community College where she received her Nursing Degree and was always at the top of her class. She valued hard work and scholarship. Helen started working at Sacred Heart Medical Center in 1960 and moved to Spokane in 1961. She continued to work at Sacred Heart until her retirement in the early 1980’s. Helen was a long time member of Opportunity Christian Church and enjoyed oil painting along with reading mystery novels. Helen is survived by her sons, Jim (wife Linda) Lynn, Spokane, WA , John (wife Lorilee) Lynn, Missoula, MT : daughter Judy (husband Jim) Bullis, Kennewick, WA, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and a sister Anna Mae Irey, Lacey, WA. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
