Born to Loren and Ellen Robertson on June 3, 1927 in Lancaster, Washington. Ellen went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 7, 2023. She graduated from Winona High School in 1944. She married a local cowboy and farmer, Donald Duncan Dixon, and shortly thereafter followed him to farm jobs in Lamont, Washington and Buckeye, Arizona as they began their family. They returned to eastern Washington in 1955 and lived in Valleyford and Spokane until Donald’s retirement in 1986. They served in a short-term missionary project in Linda-a-Velha, Portugal building a church. The following 15 years was spent traveling the country as snow birds eventually settling in Spokane again. Ellen loved crocheting, having her family around, and playing games. Her strong faith sustained her throughout her life. Ellen is survived by her children Richard (Ethel), Edward, John (Maura), David (Tammy), her brother Wallace (Carol) Robertson, and sister Laura (Clarence) Hamilton; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, her daughter Elaine (Bill) Baker, and her brother Malcolm Robertson. Visitation and funeral service will be held at the New Hope Bible Church, 1445 N. Argonne Rd, Spokane Valley, Washington on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 11 a.m.
