Donald Richard Smithgall

Donald and his twin brother were born February 8, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant Michigan to Lottie and Wendell Smithgall.

He is survived by his wife Diane of 64 years. sons, Dennis (Sonya), Daryl, Dwayne (Shelise), Douglas (Jalene); grandchildren Kyle, Katie, Lannea, Curtis, Erin and Rylie and brother Ronald of Sterling CO.

He attended Northwestern Bible College where he met Diane Samuelson and married August 12, 1960.

He attended Conservative Baptist Seminary in Minneapolis, MN. Don and Diane lived in New Brighton MN, Shellsburg IA, Lake MI, Edmonds WA, Moses Lake WA, Federal Way WA, Spokane Valley WA and Ellensburg WA.

Don served as pastor in 7 churches over 50 years. Interests including quartets, Bible quizzing, mission trips, and participating in and watching many sports, his favorite being pickleball.

A memorial service will be held September 21, 2024 at 11 AM at Valley Bible Church, 3021 S. Sullivan Rd, Veradale WA. The service will be live streamed for those that cannot attend in person.
