Hopatcong, NJ ~ Monica Elizabeth Cavano (Williams) peacefully went home to the Lord on November 26, 2014 at her residence with her family by her side. She was 84. Monica was born in Trenton to Roberts [sic] and Gertrude (Tebo) Williams. She resided in Hopatcong for the past ten years, she is formerly from Lawrenceville, and Trenton. Monica was very active throughout her life as a volunteer, and most recently with the Hopatcong Women’s Club. She was a former president with The Contemporary Women’s Club in Trenton 50+ years membership ~ National Federated Woman’s Past Presidents Club., Needlework Guild of America of Trenton and she was a Girl Scout. She volunteered as leader of Trinity Cathedral Sunday School in Trenton. She was a lecturer at the NJ State Museum and had a Radio show for the NJ Library for the Blind. Predeceasing her is her husband Herbert Cavano Jr. in 1967 She is survived by a daughter; Bonnie Anderson and her husband Neil of Hopatcong, NJ, and her son; Herbert Edward “Ted” Cavano and his wife Sue of Princeton, NJ. Four Grandchildren; Cara and Kyle Cavano, and Ian and Morgan Anderson. Friends and family are invited Monday, Dec. 1st from 7~9pm at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871, and Wednesday Dec 3rd from 10 ~ 12 noon from Mullen Funeral Home 537 S. Olden Avenue Trenton, NJ 08629, followed by interment in Ewing Church Cemetery, Ewing, NJ. A Tuesday, Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11AM from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd, Sparta, NJ. Memorial Contributions in Monica’s name are being accepted by her family to: Karen Anne Quinlan Hospice or Deborah Heart & Lung.
