Molly A. Van Kirk

Molly was born September 10, 1934 and married her true love; Tom Van Kirk in 1954 and devoted her life to her husband and family.

Molly graduated from Franklin High School in 1952. She moved with Tom to his family farm in Sparta, later building their own home on the property and raised their three children there. She loved nothing more than entertaining family and friends at the house they built and moved into in 1956. She was a dedicated volunteer supporting Sparta Youth Athletic programs through the 1960’s and 1970’s. Her passion for sports was an important part of her entire life and remained so until her passing.

Molly’s beloved husband Tom Van Kirk predeceased her in 2018. Her parents Roy and Barbara Lent also predecease her. She is survived by her three children Tom Jr. (Jennifer) of Sparta; Sally (Jesse) of Ocean City; and Bob (Amy) of Washington; seven grandchildren, Kristin (Phil), Eric (Amy), Megan, Matthew, Lindsey, Emma and Brianna; three great-grandchildren, Finley, Reese and Madison; and her two brothers, Don and Jim.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 11AM – 1PM at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Cremation was held privately.
