Beloved Mother and Grandmother, Annette Rubino Dalessio, 72, of Mount Arlington, died peacefully on February 8, 2024. Annette grew up in Garfield, NJ and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marie (Favo) Rubino and was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Lodi. She met her husband, Michael, while working for Two Guys in Passaic. They married in 1973 and moved to Clifton to raise their family and where Annette volunteered with various school and community organizations. The couple would relocate to Somerset after 35 years.
Annette was a loving and generous person with a wicked sense of humor. She was always willing to help a friend or family member in need. She was a skilled baker and an avid crafter who was always eager to try her hand at the latest creative endeavors from needlework to papercraft to painting. Annette loved to show the people she cared for her affection through crafting. Among her more impressive creative endeavors were the treat boxes she handcrafted for each major holiday over a period of eight years for the religious sisters at Saint Joseph Infirmary at Villa Walsh.
Annette was predeceased by her husband, Michael. She was the loving mother to Gina Dalessio and her husband Robert Maikis, and Christine Dalessio and husband Murray Blehart. Annette’s greatest joy was as grandmother to Michael Julius and John Philip Dalessio. She was a devoted sister to Valerie Tabback and Debra Rubino. Annette also leaves behind an extended family of loving nieces and nephews and their children, several siblings-in-law, aunts and cousins, and dear friends.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
