Mrs. Gill a certified operating room registered nurse retired from Womack Army Medical Center and correctional care with the NC Department of Correction. She was a life family member of Friendship Baptist Church in Southport, NC, family member in Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church Fayetteville, NC, a shining star of The Jesus Troupe and many years a sister in The Lamplighters.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 24, 2021 with a viewing will be held at 10:00 to 11:00 am and service at 11:00 am at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service, 1411 N Howe St, Southport, NC 28461. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery, 711 E Longleaf Dr, Southport, NC 28461.
She is survived by her children, Ramona Gill and Calvin Gill both of Fayetteville. Her sisters, Anna Clemmons and Rebecca Smith both of Southport, one brother-in-law George Riggs of Yonkers, NY along with six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A viewing will be held at Herring Funeral Care & Cremations chapel, 2720 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28301 on Friday, April 23, from 3-5pm.
