Tom was a welder by trade which brought his family to Southport in 1991. He became a subtractor and enjoyed helping others build their homes in the area. He was also an avid fisherman who you could typically find at Dutchmen Creek catching bait, or the Southport City Pier just enjoying himself catching a fish, or looking at what others had caught.
He is survived by his children Thomas F. Mullins, Jr. and spouse Candra Mullins of Badin, NC; Laurie A. Mullins of Southport, NC; Daniele N. Mullins of Southport, NC, and Christina M. Mullen of Greensboro, NC. He took great pride and enjoyed spending time with his 9 grandchildren, Lillith, Ginnah, Toby, Cairo, Nate, Bryan, Delia, Michelle and Ashlynn; sisters Gail Jenezsko of Clayton, Georgia, Kathleen Bryan and Joann Davenport, both of Jacksonville Fl; and his four legged best friend Nibbler. He is proceeded in death by both of his beloved parents, Gill and Josephine Mullins, his elder brother Ray Mullins, nephew Shawn Smallwood and niece Dawn Evans.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date in Jacksonville FL. The family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made to the National Cancer Society.
