Mr. Martindale was born December 13, 1944 in Greensboro, NC, son of the late Robert Glenn Martindale, Sr. and Lilly Mae Calahan Martindale. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving as a gunners mate aboard the USS Barry. He owned Yasmeen Trucking and retired in 2007. He loved drawing, reading, and playing drums.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Martindale; four daughters, Sherry Bush and husband Brandon, Donna Wilson, Alese Morales and husband Jorge, and Mary Hashish and husband Ossama; ten grandchildren, Kristian, Luke, Dayne, Stone, Malik, Sofiyah, Halah, Jacob, Jonathan, and Julian; two great-grandchildren, Colton and Mason; four brothers, Bill Martindale, Eli Powers, Tommy Powers, and Randall Powers; and a sister, Cindy Hayes. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Yasmeen Hashish; two brothers, David Powers and Jeff Powers; and a sister, Sally Martindale.
A celebration of his life will be held in Asheboro, NC and at a later date at First Baptist Church of Boiling Spring Lakes.
