Martin Bond Kesmodel Sr.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Evelyn "Teal" Kesmodel; children, Michelle Kesmodel (Jimmy), Marty Kesmodel Jr., Daniel Butler (Tammy), and David Butler; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Michael, Caleb, and Heidi.

Marty lived a full life. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, member/chaplin of the BSL Fire Department, BSL City Commissioner, and Mayor of BSL! He was a retiree of Carolina Power and Light Company. Marty enjoyed the simple things life had to offer. He enjoyed time with his family, a round of golf now and then and being "Mr. Mayor" to Heidi. He will be forever loved and surely missed.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you and have great appreciation for the Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their great care both during and continuing.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Southport, NC at 3:30PM with Pastor Jason W. Huebner officiating. Interment will follow the service at Northwood Cemetery in Southport, NC.

A visitation will be held at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport, NC on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
