Marjorie Sharpe, age 94, of Southport, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Mrs. Sharpe was born in Maxton, NC on January 13, 1930, daughter of the late Arvin and Carolyn Cooper. She attended Maxton High School, Flora MacDonald College, and later obtained her master's degree from Georgia State University. She married Edward Howell Sharpe and they lived in Italy for several years. Mrs. Sharpe retired from teaching in Georgia. She and her husband retired and moved to her family home in Maxton where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the Maxton Historical Society.
She is survived by her two children, Hal Sharpe and Carolyn Dosher; three grandchildren, Nicholas Sharpe, Howell Sharpe, and Thomas Dosher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Sharpe.
