Mrs. Beyer was born August 31, 1957 in Miami, Florida, daughter of the late Lyman and Nelda McDonald.
She will be remembered for her love of church, family, music, and her charitable heart. Denise was always a comfort to others. She strived to be her best and instilled that same passion in others. She served as an usher and greeter on the First Impressions Team, worked in the Nest, and sang with the Worship Team at Generations Church. Her grandchildren were her treasures, and she loved spending time with them on the beach. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Beyer; two daughters, Stephanie Armstrong, and Lauren Mitchell; a step-daughter, Stephanie Kocyba and husband Tom; two step-sons, Paul Beyer, III and wife Pam, and Eric Beyer and wife Paula; ten grandchildren; Caroline, Chloe, Abygaiel, Corey, Cayte, Clara Ann, Hannah, Patrick, Cody, and Auston; two sisters, Jeanie Harrison and husband Tom, and Evelyn McDonald; a brother, Bo McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Generations Church in Southport. The family will have an informal visitation from 2:00 to 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Generations Church, 4019 Executive Park Blvd SE, Southport, NC 28461. Denise had a passion for single mothers and any donations will be used for single mother ministries.
