Christine T. Cook

Born November 14, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy DiFruscio.

She is survived by her two children, Christine Schrode and husband Edward, and Anthony Cook and wife Maureen; five grandchildren, Michael Gaudino, Brittney Gaudino, Abby Cook, Janet Cook, and Deane Cook; and four great-grandchildren.

Christine whom was commonly referred to as Chrissy by her family and close friends, and “MomMom Chrissy” to her grandchildren whom she loved to spoil. Christine grew up in the Philadelphia area where she attended Catholic School and was very close to her large Italian family. Throughout life, Christine found pleasure in attending church sermons, spending time with her loved ones and many friends, doing arts and crafts, particularly for her grandchildren, playing keyboard, spending time at the beach, and was and active member of the Oak Island Senior Center. Christine loved to tell her many stories and made cards and pictures for every occasion. Christine’s love was unwavering and unconditional, her family was everything.

Visitation will be held on December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport followed by the Funeral Mass at noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
