Annette was born in Valley Stream, NY on October 10, 1952. With degrees at The College of New Rochelle and Hofstra, marriage to Alan Robidoux, she resided in Milford and East Granby, CT, Centreville, VA, Fremont, CA; before 20 years in Southport, NC.
She was the middle of three girls born to Jean and Bill Wiley. She leaves behind Alan, daughter Alicia Ferguson and Rob, grandchildren Emma and Oliver, siblings Mary Myers in PA and Patricia Wiley in NY and “brother” Bob Morissey in CO.
Her first year in Granby, CT she was named their first Teacher of the Year. She was a dedicated educator, adored by students and faculty due to her effervescent personality and dedication to her students.
A Type 1 diabetic from birth, Annette’s many doctors marveled that she was their longest living juvenile diabetic patient due to her diligence and perseverance, as a youth not predicted to reach adulthood.
She enjoyed world travel with Alan to every continent - African safaris and their home on an island off the coast of Croatia her favorites.
Annette had a flair for fashion and an affinity for floral arranging. She enjoyed hosting friends at their beach house on Oak Island, card games, crafting, and lunches with friends. For her many dear friends Annette was unique.
Services will be held in mid-January.
