Rosalie Menard, 85, of Southington, Connecticut, beloved wife of the late Delphis Menard for over 61 years passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. She was born in New Britain, CT on September 5, 1939 to the late John and Agnes (Danka) Carrubba.
Rosalie worked as an Administrative Assistant in healthcare for many years, retiring from The Wheeler Clinic in Plainville. Throughout her life she enjoyed to travel to the seashore of Sanibel Island, Florida where she and her family would soak up the sun, enjoy the gentle breeze and collect beautiful seashells for her always growing collection. Rosalie also enjoyed antiques, and in her earlier years would always be on the lookout for a great find. She will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends alike.
Rosalie is survived by her son Todd Menard and his wife Andrea, grandchildren Talon and Trenton Menard, brothers Salvatore Carrubba and Robert Carrubba and his wife Bea, two sister-in-laws Jacqueline Sheehan and Norma Galoppi and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Ronald Carrubba.
A graveside interment will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10AM at the CT State Veteran Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown, CT 06457. All are asked to gather directly at the cemetery for 10AM. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions in her memory be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer by going to www.komen.org.
