He initially retired from Victor’s Autobody and then he decided to return to work as a tractor trailer instructor for All State CDL training. Peter also loved fast cars and anything to do with racing. He loved Nascar, demolition derby, tractor pulls, or going to motorcycle races at Laconia. If it was fast, Peter was involved. There were many facets to Peter but one of the most important was his catholic faith. This was evident as Peter donated his time every year to perform in the play of the Passion that was put on at St. Thomas Church. Besides his devoted wife of 60 years, Peter is survived by his daughters; Anne-Marie Golba and her husband Daniel of Middlefield, Cynthia Giannitti and her husband Leone of Southington, and Teresa Mann and her husband Joseph of Silver Port, TN. Peter was also the proud grampa to Adrian Hubeny and Karina Hubeny of Southington. He was also survived by his brother Victor Rook of Middletown, several nieces and nephews, and his two furry companions Hilda and Piper. Peter was predeceased by his siblings, Hedwig Kelly, Theresa Golbar, Mary Czaja, Helen Aubin, Anna Whitney, Francis Rook, John J. Rook Jr., Fr. Paul Rook, Anthony Rook, and Andrew Rook.
