Peter J. Kennedy

Peter was born on August 26th, 1952 in Southington CT, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from Southington High School and went on to Staunton Military Academy. He owned PJ Trucking Co in Cheshire for many years. He was a heavy equipment operator and still active in Operating Engineers Local Union 478. Peter was an avid Nascar fan, and loved Dale Earnhart. He was a lover of country music, flowers and vegetable gardens. Pete’s face would light up whenever a baby entered the room.

He is survived by his wife Tracie McNamee, daughter Kaitlin Kennedy, stepsons Robert McNamee & Gregory McNamee, brother, Brian Kennedy, sister, Leana Harrington, brother in law John Harrington, nephews Tim O’Connor & John Harrington, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his father Lester Kennedy, his mother Margaret Kennedy, and his stepson Jeffrey McNamee

Calling hours for Peter will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a prayer service at 3:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT 06489.
