Fay "Claire" Clarity

Fay "Claire" Clarity, age 37, of Bristol, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. Claire was born on April 15, 1987, in New Britain to Jonathan Welch and Christine (Alfieri) Gaedeke. She was raised in Southington and graduated from Rockville High School in Vernon. She was a certified Pharmacy Technician.

She spent most of her time caring for animals of all kinds. She truly had a love for all animals and found solace in the reciprocated love they would often show her. Claire loved to travel. She had a special love for Oregon where one day she had hoped to settle. Claire was a proud supporter of the LGBTQ2+ Community and was an active volunteer in the annual PRIDE Festival in Hartford. Throughout life's struggles, Claire was still a friend, confidant, and supporter of all people. In the memory of Claire, please live your life with kindness and acceptance of all people regardless of your differences.

Claire is survived by her parents; Jonathan Welch of Wolcott and Christine (Paul) Gaedeke of Southington, her sisters; Alison Welch (Howard Freeman) of Bristol, Samantha Welch (Kyle Pulford) of Bristol, Kathleen D’Amato (Jacob Gibilisco) of Sidney, ME, her grandparents; Carol Welch of Bristol, John Alfieri (Dawn Parks) of Meriden, and her aunt; Kimberly Alfieri Callahan-Forauer of Newington and Uncle; John Callahan of Bristol. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory her nephew and three nieces; Michael Hayes Jr, Gabriella Hayes, Annabella Welch and Amber Welch. Claire was predeceased by her grandmother; Marian Alfieri, great grandparents; Emma VanNesse, Doris Gundry, Eleanor and Carmon Alfieri, and her aunt; Gloria Marosz.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Pat Stebbins of Brian's Angels in Bristol for her steadfast support and care of Claire and her wellbeing.

The family will receive friends and visitors on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 12 PM to 2 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. Southington. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 14th at 1:30 PM at Faith Living Church 20 Grove St. Plantsville, CT 06479.
