Born May 4, 1932 in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late John and Wihelmina (Minnie Duarte) Perry.
Tony was an independent insurance agent for many years before he retired. He loved sports and participated in high school athletics and beyond in recreational leagues. He was a fitness fanatic who ran and lifted weights well into his 70’s. Tony was well known at area tracks and was complimented quite often by younger people in awe of his abilities. He was a volunteer coach at Southington High School and Wilcox Tech. in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s sharing his knowledge with other coaches and athletes.
Tony’s love of family, friends and social gatherings was something he lived for. (He was a self- proclaimed horse shoe champion.) He also loved music, dancing and enjoyed any event that combined the two, whether it be at parties, weddings or Italian festivals.
Another love of Tony’s was Harleys and sport cars. He loved riding Harleys with his friends, Pete, Andy and Paulie and always felt the need to have a sports car in the drive-way.
He is survived by his children, Mark Perry and his wife Jean of Meriden, Susan Perry of Southington, Robin Perry and her wife Mary Tirozzi of Wallingford and Eric Perry and his wife Michele of Southington; his grandson Christopher Perry and his wife Erica of Essex and two great grandchildren, Chase and Gianna Perry. Tony also leaves his former wife and lifelong friend Lucille Perry of Southington. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
