Anthony J. Celella Jr.

Anthony J. Celella Jr., 58, of Kensington, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut after a brief illness. Anthony was born in Southington on September 23, 1963 and was the son of the late Anthony J. and Gloria (Gagon) Celella Sr. At the time of his illness, he was employed by the Berlin Board of Education as Head Custodian of the Willard Elementary School in Berlin, a job which he truly enjoyed. When he was not working, you could find Anthony outdoors, working in his garden, doing yard work, or playing with his best buddy, his yellow lab Mookie. An avid New York Giants Fan and Kansas Jayhawks Fan, you could find Anthony cheering them on during the NFL and NCAA seasons. When the Giants and Jayhawks were not playing, Anthony could be found watching scary movies or watch shows about crime and law. Anthony is survived by his two sons, Anthony T. Celella and Andrew Celella both of Kensington, one brother, John Celella of Southington, and one sister, Donna Robideau also of Southington. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Murphy. Calling hours for Anthony will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington, CT 064789. Burial will be private.
