Anna (Trillo) Manware, 92, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14th, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael J. Manware.
Anna was born November 3rd, 1932 in Bristol, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Busillo) Trillo. She worked at the Bristol Board of Education and at the Patten Brook Dairy, where she met the love of her life, Mickey Manware. Anna and Mickey were married in 1957 and adored each other for 61 years.
Anna worked at Kennedy Junior High School, as a para-professional working with special education classrooms. She loved the kids and cherished the friendships she developed over the years.
Anna’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment that she spent with them. She was an amazing cook and baker. She loved to travel with Mick, and especially cherished their trips to Quechee, VT., Dennisport, Mass, and their visits to North Greenbush, NY. She loved to cross country ski and snowshoe, took painting classes or as she said “her therapy classes” at the Calendar House, and loved watching all the birds at the feeders.
Anna was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a kind, gentle soul and loved everyone. She developed dementia later in life, which may have robbed her of her memory and mind, but it could never take away the special person that she was. She always had a smile on her face, loved to joke, and was genuinely content with life. She still shared the wonderful person that she was and had so much to offer to everyone.
As Mom would say, “See you around like a donut”! We love you Mom and you will be in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Lynn Norton (Craig) of Meriden, Peter Manware (Nora Beth) of Dennisport, Mass., Michael S. Manware (Jennifer) of Plantsville, Betsy Manware (Maryann) of North Greenbush, NY, 5 grandchildren Nathan, Justin, Nicholas, Cayla, and Olivia, 5 great grandchildren Lily, Eli, Rosie, Floramoon, and Daisy Rae and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 6 brothers, Thomas, Frank, Victorio, Angelo, Alphonse, and Mario.
The family would like to thank Michelle Gilkes-Helgar for her wonderful and compassionate care of Anna for the past 2 years and Susan Krane for all the warm, compassionate care, love, and friendship that she had given to Anna and her family for the past ten years.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, December 20th at 11am at St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd. Calling hours will be prior to the Mass from 8:30 to 10:30am at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
