Roseann W. Gauss

She was a long time resident of Churchville, Pennsylvania. Roseann was born on May 27th, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, Guy Byron and Lillian (Reynolds) Wildermuth, Jr. She graduated from Temple University with a teaching degree. Roseann went on to establish a career in the Philadelphia Public School system as a kindergarten teacher and Head Start administrator. She retired in 1979 to become a stay at home mom.

Roseann loved to travel, cook, and host family and friends for gatherings in her home. A lifelong dog lover, she had many pets. She enjoyed decorating her house for all seasons and holidays. Roseann was heavily involved in her daughters’ activities as a home room mother, Girl Scout troop leader and band and orchestra parent. In recent years, she enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel movies.

Roseann was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Kathleen Wildermuth.

Roseann is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Helmut Gauss; daughters Heidi Gauss (Shelley) of Columbia, MD and Krista Mastropaolo (Matt) of Churchville, PA; grandchildren Matthew Jr., Lillian, and Kaitlyn Mastropaolo.

A visitation for Roseann will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 659 Street Road, Southampton, Pennsylvania 18966. An interment will occur Monday, January 8, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Road, Bensalem, PA.
