She was a long time resident of Huntingdon Valley and Horsham, PA. Pam was born on October 26, 1956 in Aberdeen, Maryland, to parents John Frederick Metzger and Helen Paula Metzger. She graduated from Lower Moreland Senior High School in 1974. She continued her education, graduating from West Chester University with a degree in Education, and then receiving her Masters of Education in Reading at Arcadia University. Pam went on to establish a career as a teacher, and made an impact on all of her students over the years, even recently tutoring the children of some of her original students. She was also well-known for being involved in the Hatboro-Horsham School Community by the administration, principals, teachers, faculty and students.
Pam loved reading (she was an avid book collector), traveling to Walt Disney World with her family, volunteering for the Hatboro-Horsham Home School Association & Scholastic Book Fairs, caring for others as a Christian Science nurse while continuing to study and be class taught with the works of “Science and Health: With Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, volunteering as a Cookie Mom for her daughters’ Girl Scout Troops, booking and hosting parties at TNT Amusements, playing card games with her family, supporting various theater productions in which her daughters performed, traveling to see the world with friends and family, watching movie musicals (especially “The Sound of Music” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers”), playing along with her favorite television game shows like “Tattletales” and “Match Game,” T.V. show binging of “Big Brother” and “The Crown,” giving gifts to others, laughing & spending quality time with friends and singing Barbra Streisand songs.
Pam was preceded in death by her brother, Mark R. Metzger, her mother, Helen Paula Metzger, and her father, John Frederick Metzger.
Pam is continued to be loved by her husband, Todd, her daughters Tammy and Terry, her sister, Helen Jennings, her brother, John Metzger. She is also loved by her extended family including The Sparkman Family (Jennifer, John and Shelby), The Hockley Family (Lena, Phillip, Sophie, Toby and Joel), The Tuckey Family (Robb, Gloria, Jonathan, Becky, Hayley, Nathan, Ryan, Sondra and Luciana), The Cesari Family (Jeff, Joyce, Jeffrey, Rob, Jennifer, Chuck, Charlie and Celeste), Bill and Maureen Climaldi, The Wood Family, Jeanette Strybuc, The Tauber Family, The Benner Family, The Eichelmann Family, The Fash Family, The D’Attilio Family, The Schell Family and her Church Family. There are many other families and friends that Pam also thought about and loved dearly.
There will be no memorial or burial services in accordance with her wishes, but Pam’s family want to thank the Tenacre Foundation nurses and the Holy Redeemer Hospital staff for taking care of her.
