Dorothy A. Russo died on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital surrounded by her family. She was 79 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was a longtime resident Richboro and Newtown. Dorothy was the daughter of the late George and Elsie Trouts Chase.
Mrs. Russo was a homemaker. She was very family oriented and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed dinners with family and friends, bowling, movies and dancing. She was an avid reader.
Dorothy was an active member of the Addisville Reformed Church in Richboro. She was also a member of the Good Shepherd Seniors, the St. Bede’s Young at Heart Senior Citizens and the TLA of Warminster.
Dorothy was the beloved wife of Anthony Russo for 30 years before his death in 1988. She was the devoted mother of Michael F. Russo (Kathryn) of Hilton Head SC, Jill Russo (Raymond Gill Jr.) of Jamison, and the late Pamela L. Lichtner (the late Robert). She was the loving grandmother of Michael A. Russo (Jessica), Jennifer Lynne Tadlock (Matthew) and Anthony M. Broe (Meghan); great grandmother of Ethan, Katie, Bethany, Gabriel and the late Joshua. She was the sister of Nancy Lomas (Bruce) of Richboro and the late Donald Chase (the late Carrie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Rd. and Second Street Pike, Southampton and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM at the Addisville Reformed Church, 945 2nd St Pike, Richboro, PA. Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM. The interment will be in Newtown Cemetery.
