Robert A. (Bawana) Buonamano of Dennis, formally of North Quincy, died peacefully surrounded by his family on November 24, 2018 at the age of 66. He is the beloved brother of Arthur and Carol Buonamano of Fort Myers FL, Edward Buonamano and Joe Gomez of Orlando FL and Bonnie and Rich Mulcahy of Hanover MA. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews. Bob was the son of the late Anthony and Marion (Flanagan) Buonamano. He was born in So. Boston on May 22, 1952, raised and educated in North Quincy (Montclair), graduating from North Quincy High School in 1970, before moving to the Cape full time in the early 80’s. Bob worked for the Boston Herald in the advertising department, at Bestgen Real Estate in Dennis Port and at Pain D’Avignon Bakery in Hyannis. After retiring, Bob would make his daily trip to Honey Dew for coffee, then to West Dennis Beach to read the paper, pick up his mail at post office, and then stop at one of his favorite establishments including but not limited to The Wooden Shoe, 28 Club, or La Scala Restaurant to see friends and family or to watch a Pat’s game. Bob loved the Cape and the many friends he made during the 50 or more years vacationing and residing in Dennis.
A visitation will be held Friday, November 30th from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis.
