Born to Lloyd and Ilene Cornish in Ontario, Canada, Gwain attended the University of Toronto and the University of Waterloo. He worked as the senior Vice President at Royal Group Technologies and served on their board of directors.
Gwain and Wendy had their first date on March 22, 1976, and he knew he was in love for the first time. He was a golf fanatic and would probably golf everyday if it weren’t for wanting to spend most of his time with Wendy. He loved to boat on Cape Cod Bay and looked forward to his daily walks around the “neck” with Wendy, Harley and Spunky. One of his favorite things was breakfast. Not just any breakfast though. He loved going to Grumpy’s and it was a morning gathering place when his kids and grandkids were in town as well. Gwain and Wendy were the kindest, most generous people to know and hopefully, you had the privilege of meeting them.
Gwain is survived and will be deeply missed by his two children, Robert Cornish (Renee) and Kristi Jacques; his cherished beloved grandchildren, Tatum and Mason Collins, Landon Jacques, and Pierce, Abigail, and Rowan Cornish; and, his sister Leigh Cornish and brother Brian Cornish.
Due to the current health crisis, a gathering to celebrate Gwain’s life will be held in the future. For online condolences, please visit www.doanebealamesdennis.com
