Francine was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Zirpoli) Vars.
Born in Paterson, NJ she was raised in Fair Lawn. Before moving to Cape Cod in 2006 she lived in Wayne, NJ where she taught art in the Wayne New Jersey School system for 35 years. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed her work immensely.
Fran loved working on her art, weaving and painting. She had an incredible sense of humor and could make anyone smile. She was a kind, thoughtful person and had the unique ability to strike up a conversation with a stranger ending in laughter and making their day. With her fun and engaging personality, she had many friends in New Jersey and on Cape Cod. Fran was a great hostess, she prepared incredible holiday meals and had a flare for presentation. She was an active member of the Dennis Garden Club where she was more than happy to share her artistry. She was also musically talented; she played the guitar, flute and piano. She and George enjoyed their trips throughout Europe, Africa and China. Fran loved her Sri Lankan masks, jigsaw puzzles, Broadway shows and winning at card games.
In addition to her husband George, Francine is survived by her sisters Linda (Drew) Lasko of Manchester, CT and Michele (Gio) Zett of Rochester, MN & Tucson, AZ, her adored niece Laura (John) Pelliccio of Marlborough, MA and her cherished great-nieces Eva and Anna Pelliccio.
In celebration of Francine's life, family and friends will gather from 10am-12noon on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Doane, Beal and Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA 02660.
