After retirement Barb and Al bought the little house on the lake in North Fort Myers Florida. They spent many happy, sun filled days there. She painted and he played golf. The perfect arrangement! They traveled with friends and loved cruising the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Panama Canal.
Barbara was a very accomplished painter and artist. Mostly self-taught, her artwork graces her home and those of family and friends. Her Christmas cards were a special gift if you were on the “NICE” list. A favorite was the year “Santa” brought the “Mermaid” the 2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Trophy in his sack for Christmas!
She loved sitting on the beach with her best friends, Sue Babineau and Sy Weigand. Bain de Soleil was her favorite lotion.
In her later years she loved to ride down West Dennis Beach to watch the river and wildlife. Cape Cod was her special place and where she called home, living in her beloved house on Juniper for more than 60 years.
