William Charles Anderson

William “Bill” Anderson, age 81, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in New Bedford, Massachusetts (MA). He was born on August 9, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the husband of Margaret “Peggy” Anderson whom he shared 21 years of marriage.

Bill graduated from Drexler University with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and St. Charles Borromeo Seminary with a bachelor’s degree in education. After his retirement from Clairol, he was self-employed and ran a successful computer engineering business. He also worked for the Dartmouth Council on Aging teaching computer classes. He was a lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol for several years and was a board member of the Dartmouth Friends of the Elderly.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his sons Jeffrey and his wife Angela, Matthew and his wife Miriam, Timothy and his wife Blair. His stepsons Michael Amarante and his wife Nicole, Cory Amarante and his wife Kristen and his stepdaughter Dana Medeiros and her husband Rick; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and his beloved dogs Tiago, Coral, and Boudreau. Bill was a proud friend of Bill W for 31 years.
