Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Charlotte Bonney and David Bonney. After graduating from New Bedford High School, Sharon moved to California to pursue her dreams. After returning home to Dartmouth, Sharon gave birth to her son and love of her life, Nolan.
Sharon was employed by Citizens’ Bank for almost 20 years, making many lifelong friends along the way.
She enjoyed spending time at the beach with friends and family, driving the backroads of the South Coast while stopping at little local shops. These adventures usually involved indulging in lobster rolls and ice cream.
Sharon took pride in her home, decorating for every season along with her love of gardening and flowers.
Most of all, Sharon enjoyed raising her son and watching him grow into the man he is today.
Sharon is survived by her son, Nolan Fonseca of Dartmouth, brother Glen Bonney and father David Bonney of New Bedford. She is predeceased by her mother Charlotte Bonney and brother David Bonney.
Sharon’s family and “Team Sharon” would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center of Rhode Island for their amazing and compassionate care.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM with a Eulogy Service at 11:30AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, South Dartmouth, MA 02748.
