Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late William and Gail (Piva) Florek.
Sandra graduated from Bristol Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Business. She worked as an Office Manager for a wholesale company, their family business for many years. She enjoyed tanning on the beach at their family cottage in Mattapoisett, eating out and spending time with friends, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and two dogs, Ollie and Charlie. Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, great sense of humor, her laugh, and her infectious smile will be missed by many. She was a beloved mother, friend, and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Lauren Cavanaugh and her husband Michael of Fairhaven; three grandchildren, Logan Powers, Riley Powers, and Logan Cavanaugh; a brother, David Florek of New Bedford; an uncle, Paul Piva of Mattapoisett; best friend, Maureen Walsh of New Bedford; two nieces and one nephew. She was the sister of the late Michael Florek.
