Born in New York, the daughter of the late James H and Edna (Freedell) McGlone, she lived most of her life on Long Island, before moving to Massachusetts several years ago to be closer to family.
Catherine, “Becky”, devoted the bulk of her career working in one nursing home in New York. She had an eye for detail and a dedication to a job well done. She formally retired in 1992, but as a life-long worker, she found she had too much time on her hands. Catherine then found herself working part-time at the Estee Lauder factory in New York packaging cosmetics. She fancied herself the Lucille Ball of the conveyor belt.
She loved animals and was an avid bird watcher. She is finally reunited with all of her family that passed away before her, and her sweet dog, Bonnie.
She is survived by her two granddaughters, Tina Vargas and her companion Edward Nickerson of Dartmouth and Karen Giorgianni and her husband Brian of New Bedford; six great grandchildren: Sabrina and Kilian Vargas, Mia and Lily Giorgianni, Brian Giorgianni, Jr. and his companion Antonia Thomas, and Mackenzie Rappa, a sister-in-law Yolanda (Felicione) Harvey and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Lucia Marie Vargas, Barbara (Felicione) Davis, and Peter Felicione.
Private arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth.
