Ashlin Marie Costa, 14, of New Bedford passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in Boston Children's Hospital with her loving family at her side. She was the loving and cherished daughter of Robert Costa and Deborah Benjamin and loving sister of Ava and Amber Costa.
Born in New Bedford, Ashlin was a recent graduate of St. Joseph's School in Fairhaven. Ashlin was a vibrant and loving young woman who loved her family dearly. She loved fishing with her dad, going for long drives with her mom and spending time with her sister Ava.
Ashlin loved to read, draw and was a passionate young artist. She enjoyed shopping, especially at Barnes and Noble. Ashlin loved music and especially enjoyed listening to Slipknot with her dad. Ashlin also loved Ben and Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream. If you knew Ashlin, her family was her Team. She loved them so very much, as did they.
Ashlin is survived by her parents, Robert Costa and Deborah Benjamin of New Bedford; her sisters, Ava and Amber Costa of New Bedford; her grandparents Mario and Maria Benjamin of Dartmouth and Robert and Patricia Costa of New Bedford; her Godparents, Alex and Lisa Benjamin and their daughters Alexis and Skylar of Dartmouth; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and her many, many friends. Ashlin also leaves behind her bunny, Meatball.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 8AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth, MA 02748 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00AM in St. Joseph's Church, 74 Spring Street, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
