Robert Gregory

Robert Gregory, age 92, of Somerset, formerly of South Dartmouth, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Souza-Faria) Gregory.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Lees) Gregory, he spent his youth in New Bedford, had been a resident of South Dartmouth for over 60 years until moving to Somerset six years ago. Mr. Gregory worked for Rodney Metals in New Bedford for over 40 years until his retirement in 1984.

Robert was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots.

He is survived by his three children: Glen R. Gregory and his wife Frances of Hubbardston, MA, Mark D. Gregory and his wife Barbara of Annandale, VA and Janet L. Raffa and her husband Dominic of Somerset, MA; a brother Walter Gregory and his wife Betty of New Bedford, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late George and Ernest Gregory.
