Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Phillip and Adeline (Perrotti) Halco she was a longtime resident of Somerset.
A skilled seamstress, she worked after attending BMC Durfee High School for Klearvue Balko in Fall River for many years before her retirement in the early 1990s.
A creative woman, she enjoyed doing cosmetology, ceramics and baking, especially Italian cookies. A member of the Swansea Senior Center, she also enjoyed the communities of North Farm and Shawmut Gardens when she lived there. A lifelong communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Fall River, she was very involved in many church events.
She is survived by four daughters, Ramona Ross of Bristol, Grace Irizarry of Somerset, Judie Irizarry of Somerset and Linda Correa and her husband Brad of Swansea; one son, Julio “JR” Irizarry and his wife Sonia of Somerset; eight grandchildren, Caitlin Salinas and her husband Dustin, Neale Ross and his wife Katie, Nolan Ross and his wife Sophie, Allie Messier and her fiancé Brenden, Sydney Correa, Taylor Correa, Leland Irizarry and Brett Irizarry; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 386 Luther Avenue, Somerset. Visitation will be prior to the mass from 8:00 – 9:30 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Rose E. Sullivan, 866 County Street, Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
