Lucy (Geiss) Francescotti, 93, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday, February 17th at Van Duyn. She was born in Syracuse to the late Samuel and Concetta (Feola) Geiss in 1922. She was a meat cutter at Solvay Big M for 35 years before retiring. Lucy was a longtime communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church, member of the Stanley B. Pennock VFW Post 2893 Ladies Auxiliary, Tyrol Club of Solvay Ladies Auxiliary and Solvay Tigers Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Albert, daughter; Deborah (Alfred) Magnanti, of Fairmount, 2 sons; David, of Liverpool and James (Elizabeth), of Solvay, 2 grandchildren; Matthew (Annette) and Elizabeth Francescotti, 2 great-granddaughters; Maria and Ella, a sister; Theresa Tarolli, of Lakeland, 2 sisters-in-law; Connie Geiss, of Solvay and Gloria Geiss, of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Saturday, February 20, 2016 at St. Cecilia Church, 1001 Woods Rd., Solvay. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. There are no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
