Kathleen E. (Thornton) Reppi, 85, of Lyncourt, passed away Sunday, April 3rd at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was born to the late Francis and Hazel (Sexton) Thornton in 1930. She was employed by Syracuse China and The Rustic Inn in her earlier years. Her most prestigious occupation was a stay-at-home wife/mother; raising 6 children and helping to raise her grandchildren as well. Kathleen was a communicant of St. Daniels Church. She was an avid bowler and was on several championship bowling teams. Kathleen, along with her neighborhood ladies club, they enjoyed crafting, Avon and Tupperware products and the local neighborhood comradery. She found great enjoyment in spending time with family, preparing family meals and gardening. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, James V. Reppi, Sr. in 2007, brothers; Frank, John and Gerald and sisters; Patricia and Judith.
Kathleen is survived by 5 sons; James Jr. (Joan), of Venice, FL, Dennis (Kathy Lykudis), of Camillus, Dominick, Sr. (Bernadine), of Mattydale, Samuel (Antoinette), of Solvay and Richard (Kimberly), of Liverpool, a daughter; Christine (Raymond) Wright, of Clay. Also left to cherish her memory are 11 grandchildren; James, Dominick, Deanna, Jennifer, Dennis, Joelle, Eric, Mark, Brandon, Kyle and Alexis, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, 5 sisters and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express its deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Crouse Hospital and Iroquois Nursing Home for the excellent care and attention paid to Kathleen in her final days.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 am Saturday, April 9, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:00 am at St. Daniel’s Church, Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in N. Syracuse Cemetery. Family and friends may call Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
