John Lopercio

John Lopercio, 87, of Lakeland, passed away Saturday, October 1st at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He was born in Syracuse to the late Michael and Josephine (Chielfo) Lopercio in 1929. He was employed by General Foods for over 22 years before retiring as the warehouse and shipping manager in 1985. He was a member of the Moose Club, A.R.C., Solvay Tigers AC and Community Youth Center. John was predeceased by his wife 67 years, Fanny (Notar) on September 15th and their daughter, Michele Lopercio in 2014.

He is survived by a daughter; Nadine Lopercio, of Lakeland, brother-in-law; Frank Notarfrancisco, of Liverpool, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St., Lakeland. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Syracuse. There are no calling hours. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
