Frank Garcia

Frank Garcia, 94, of Solvay, passed away Monday, August 22nd at home. He was born in Solvay to the late Leon and Flora (Herrero) Garcia in 1922. Frank was a US Coast Guard Veteran, serving during WWII. He was a Muzak Installer at Davis Distributing Company for 25 years, after which he was an Instrumentation Technician at Allied Chemical/Honeywell for 10 years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Solvay-Geddes Veteran’s Association and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He was predeceased by his wife Helen (Kostyra) in 1994 and brothers Angelo and Manuel (Helen) Garcia.

He is survived by his son; Frank S. Garcia, of Solvay, nephew; Tony Garcia, of Camillus and niece; Karen Garcia Canestrare, of Camillus.

Funeral services will be held 9:30 am Thursday, August 25, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave.
