Virginia Mozelle Anderson Thompson

A Georgia native, Ginny was the daughter of the late Edd Cohen Spear Anderson and Ivey Elberta Delk Anderson. She was a bookkeeper and clerk, working side by side with her husband at his pharmacy for over 30 years. She was a 46 year member of Lucerne Baptist Church before moving to Commerce and becoming a member of ILA Baptist Church in 2022.

Ginny was unconditional in her love of family, which included being a wife, mother, grandmother ("Mawmaw"), sister, and aunt. She will always be remembered for her unwavering Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Groves M. Thompson, and six siblings.

Surviving are her children, Tim Thompson, Greg (Martha) Thompson, all of Lawrenceville, GA, and Traci Johnson of Commerce, GA; brother and sister-in-law. Douglas (Elizabeth) Anderson of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Martha Kate Anderson Burger of Athens, GA; grandchildren, Amy Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Zach Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA, and Emily (Jake) Schleiger of Pooler, GA; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 12 to 2 with service immediately following in Eternal Hills Chapel, with Dr. Rick Standard officiating, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039. Interment, Eternal Hills Memory Gardens.
