Marie Edwards

Marie Edwards, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on October 6th, 2024 in her family's home surrounded by love. She was born on April 13th, 1942 in Lynchburg, Virginia to loving parents who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion that she carried with her throughout her life.

Marie was a beacon of selflessness and generosity. Her door was always open to anyone in need, and she welcomed everyone with open arms and a hot meal. Her goodness knew no bounds as she dedicated herself to caring for others without any conditions attached.

Her family meant everything to her. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Glass, husband Allan, daughter Karen, brother in law Bobby and niece Beverly. She is survived by her sister Janice, sister-in-law Fran, son Wayne and daughter-in-law Sharon, nieces Amy and Lisa, nephews Taylor, Greg, and David, and great-nieces April and Wendy. She cherished every moment spent with them and found immeasurable joy in the presence of her grandchildren - Michael and his spouse Jodi, Ryan, and Trent. The arrival of her great grandchildren - Charleigh, Kash, Clara Jo, Jamie, and Alleigh brought Marie an unparalleled happiness that filled her heart with love beyond measure.

In addition to being passionate about nurturing new life through childcare during her early years running an in-home daycare service; Marie also had a deep love for shopping. Hours would be spent at stores finding clothes or searching for home decor items for every holiday season or special occasion.

Crafting became another source of immense joy for Marie as she poured herself into creating handmade greeting cards for all occasions because she believed they held more heartfelt sentiment than any store-bought card could offer. More recently though; succulents captured Marie’s imagination leading to countless hours spent crafting DIY succulent arrangements which were generously gifted to anyone who visited.

The loss of such a remarkable woman has left an indelible void within the hearts of those who loved her.

A Celebration of Life Service in Mrs. Marie Edwards honor will be held Friday, 25th of October at 10:00 AM at 3599 Bay Creek Church Road, Loganville, GA 30063.
