John Patrick Glynn III, age 50 passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Thursday, December 12, 2024. John was born on Saturday, August 31, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois to John Patrick II and Benita (Lewis) Glynn. John attended St. Mary Magdelene, Bryn Mawr and Caldwell Schools in Chicago, Illinois for his elementary and middle school education. John also attended Kenwood High School and completed his high school education at the Southwest Cook County Cooperative Association for Special Education. John was diagnosed at an early age with dyslexia and later in his late teens with Schizophrenia. Despite these challenges John was able to finish high school and gain employment with several grocery store chains and had work experience in both the automotive and hospitality industries. Later in his life John assisted with the oversight and care for his niece Kristina and nephew Christopher after school while they attended elementary and middle schools in Loganville, Georgia.
John believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and confessed him as his Lord and Savior. John at a very young age attended Calvary Baptist Church of Chicago, Illinois. And later in life he faithfully attended Holy Cross Church in Loganville, Georgia. John was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew him. John was an avid walker, he liked to play dominoes with his family and enjoyed watching movies. John was full of life and truly loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them often.
John leaves to cherish his loving memory by his sisters, Kathleen and Kimberly Glynn, nephews Mario Head and Christopher Usher, niece Kristina Stallings, one great aunt Louise Lewis and a host of cousins and friends.
The family of John Glynn would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of those who have expressed their condolences during this most difficult time. A graveside service for John will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.
