He was born September 3, 1940 in Rumford, Maine, the son of Leon Therriault Sr. and Helen (Fabian) Therriault.
He graduated from Dixfield High School in the class of 1958.He served in the U. S. Navy from 1958 thru 1961. Upon return from the military he attended Hanson’s Barber School in Lewiston.
On May 9, 1964, he married Ann DesRoches in Rumford, Maine.
After working at the Jay Paper Mill in Jay, he then went to work at UPS in Waterville as a driver for 30 years retiring in 2000.
For the past 15 years, they spent their winters in Florida where he and Ann met many wonderful people. He enjoyed golfing, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, and loved the time he spent with his family, especially Sunday dinners, Backyard Barbecues and his Friday night campfires.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Ann of Norridgewock, his sons, Kevin Therriault of Waterville, Keith Therriault and wife Dee of Norridgewock; a daughter Karin Carey and husband Chris of Cornville; his grandchildren, Michael Therriault and wife Rachel, Chase and Sierra Carey, Konnor and Kaitlyn Therriault, Kayleigh and Chloe Therriault; sister Linda Dunlay and husband Tom of Dixfield; brother Tom Therriault and wife Bonnie of Dixfield; sister-in-law Theresa Therriault of Florida and brother-in-law Don and wife Marilyn DesRoches of Delaware; special nieces and nephews, Eric, Dennis, and David Therriault, Brenda Johnston, Christine Ruoff, Maria Robinson and Peter DesRoches.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother Sonny and nephew Ricky Dunlay.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday December 3, 2015 at 10 am at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water St., Skowhegan, Maine.
Arrangments are under the care and direction of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
Donations may be made in Dick’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
