SKOWHEGAN – Janet Joan “Honey” (Andrews) Fuller, 79, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on December 15, 2017. She was born January 15, 1938 in Mt. Holly, NJ, the daughter of Frank Andrews and Ada (Cliver) Shemeley. Janet married the love of her life and soulmate, Edgar F. Fuller, Sr. on June 25, 1955. They just celebrated 62 years of marriage. Together they raised three children. Janet was a homemaker. In 1986, Janet and Edgar moved their family to Maine. She loved going on car rides, playing bingo, dancing to country bands at dance halls and camping every weekend in the summer with her family and friends. She loved the color pink and always had a sense of style.
Janet was predeceased by her parents; brother, Benjamin Andrews; sisters, Ruth Sweet, Florence Hoffman, Hazel Major, May Sweeney and Janet Hiecke.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Edgar; daughters, Joan (Fuller) Blessing and her husband Rick of Steubenville, OH, and Lori (Fuller) Rines and her husband Henry of Moscow; son Edgar Fuller, Jr. and his wife Meredith of Norridgewock; grandchildren, Melissa (Blessing) Hays and her husband Bill of Stubenville, OH, Robert Blessing and wife Loretta of Dover, DE, Jonathan Fuller and companion Devin Cain of South Portland, Amanda Rines and companion Logan Holmes of Embden, and Nicole Rines of Moscow; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Marylou Stewart of PA, Judy Lucas of NJ and Alice LeMunyon of NJ; brother, James Shemeley of NJ; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends may visit from 4-6pm, Friday, December 22 at the Skowhegan Federated Church, 13 Island Avenue, Skowhegan where a funeral service will begin at 6pm with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating. Spring interment will be held at East Skowhegan Cemetery.
Janet’s family extends a special “thank you” to Woodlawn Nursing Home for their care and compassion for Janet and for making sure the family was comfortable during a difficult time.
