John Raymond Kiser Jr.

John was born February 21,1941, in Cumberland, Maryland, the son of the late John (Buck) Raymond, Sr, and the late Margaret Louise Twigg Kiser of Alum Bank, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He joined the Army and was stationed in Korea during his tour of duty.

John married Carolyn Ann Swink, June 26, 1965, at the Presbyterian Church, in Takoma Park, Montgomery County, Maryland. They have one son, John Raymond Kiser, III who married Doreena Gail Jones of Pasadena, Maryland; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Marie Kiser; n, David Andris Kiser, Kristin Vance, and several great grandchildren. John is survived by his sisters, Lillian Viola Gohn, Shirley J Foor, Margaret Paulette Taylor; and brother, Edward Elroy Kiser, and nephew, Wayne Edward Emerick, Jr. and many other nephews and nieces.

John was employed at Roberts Brothers Auto Parts Company, Washington, D.C.; TWI, Beltsville, Maryland; Louisa Tractor, Louisa, Virginia; and Southern Auto Body in Spotsylvania, Virginia until his retirement.

John enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and was a shooting enthusiast.

Funeral services will be held at Hines Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904 on May 24, 2024, Viewing 11:00 am. Service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment at 2:30 pm at Poplar Springs Methodist Cemetery, 911 Watersville Road, Mt Airy, Maryland 21771.
