Vance Billie Raines

He was born on July 14, 1937, in Sikeston, MO to the late Orrin “Pete” and Ornice Moore Raines.

On May 24, 1958, in Sikeston, MO he married Patricia Harris who preceded him in death on January 24, 2015.

He served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1960.

He was the street superintended for the City of Sikeston for over seventeen and half years.

He is survived by two sons, Ronald (Barbara) Raines of Colombia, MO and Vance D. (Melissa) Raines of Cape Girardeau, MO; one daughter, Phyllis Clark of Sikeston, MO; four sisters, Peggy Goolsby of Riffle, CO, Hernietta Raines of Crested Butte, CO, Gavin (Steve) Holcomb of Crested Butte, CO and Ora Lea (Jim) Germanaro of Anaheim, CA; six grandchildren, Jacqueline Raines, Nicholas Raines, Misti Clark, Joshua Clark, Summer Hannah and Devin Raines and two great grandchildren, Raegan Fisher, Robin Fisher.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Shady Arce Church of Christ in Sikeston, MO.

Interment will be held on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, MO with full military honors.
